Jonny Blair (he/him) is an emerging Scottish/Irish filmmaker. His first short film THE GROUNDSMAN starred David O’Hara (THE DEPARTED) and screened at festivals worldwide before winning the Best Film award at the BAFTA Scotland New Talent Awards.
Jonny went on to complete an MA in Directing Fiction at the National Film and Television School. His graduation film COME OUT OF THE WOODS starred Joe Dempsie (GAME OF THRONES) and Nico Mirallegro (STAGS), the film was nominated for an Royal Television Society award in 2018.
He is a regular director on continuing drama RIVER CITY for the BBC and in 2023 he was selected onto the BBC Writers Scottish Voices scheme.
In 2025 Jonny will direct his debut feature film WALK WITH ME starring Emily Carey (HOUSE OF THE DRAGON), Suki Waterhouse (DAISY JONES & THE SIX) and Claes Bang (BAD SISTERS) for SILVER REEL & HANWAY FILMS.
